Synopsis
Belladonna Blackthorn hasnโt lost her magical spark . . . but she hasnโt seen it in a while, either.
Balancing work at her beloved Lunar Books with protecting it from her toxic boss, whoโs running it into the ground, and all the while concealing her witchcraft from the non-wicches around her โ Belle is burnt out. Perfecting the potential of her magic is the last thing on her mind.
But when her 30th birthday brings a summons from her coven, and a trial that tests her worthiness as a witch, Belle risks losing her magic forever. With the month of October to fix things, and signs that dark forces may be working against her, Belle will need all the help she can get โ from the women in her life, from an unlikely mentor figure, and even an (infuriatingly handsome) watchman whoโs sworn to protect her . . .

What did you recently finish reading
I recently finished ‘The Raven Boys’ by Maggie Stiefvater, ‘A Dark and Drowning Tide‘ by Allison Saft and ‘Fated Throne’ by Caroline Peckham and Suzanne Valenti.

Synopsis
โThere are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Markโs Eve,โ Neeve said. โEither youโre his true love . . . or you killed him.โ
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees themโnot until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.
His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she canโt entirely explain. He has it allโfamily money, good looks, devoted friendsโbut heโs looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.
For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, sheโs not so sure anymore.

Synopsis
Lorelei Kaskel, a folklorist with a quick temper and an even quicker wit, is on an expedition with six eccentric nobles in search of a fabled spring. The magical spring promises untold power, which the king wants to harness to secure his reign of the embattled country of Brunnestaad. Lorelei is determined to use this opportunity to prove herself and make her wildest, most impossible dream come to become a naturalist, able to travel freely to lands sheโs only ever read about.
The expedition gets off to a harrowing start when its leaderโLoreleiโs beloved mentorโis murdered in her quarters aboard their ship. The suspects are her five remaining expedition mates, each with their own motive. The only person Lorelei knows must be innocent is her longtime academic rival, the insufferably gallant and maddeningly beautiful Sylvia von Wolff. Now in charge of the expedition, Lorelei must find the spring before the murderer strikes againโand a coup begins in earnest.
But there are other dangers lurking in the forests that rearrange themselves at night, rivers with slumbering dragons waiting beneath the water, and shapeshifting beasts out for blood.
As Lorelei and Sylvia grudgingly work together to uncover the truthโand resist their growing feelings for one anotherโthey discover that their professor had secrets of her own. Secrets that make Lorelei question whether justice is worth pursuing, or if this kingdom is worth saving at all.
