The image features a cozy setup perfect for book lovers. It shows a wooden surface with three mugs of tea: one with a lemon slice and the other two in shades of amber and deep red. An open book is laid out, and there are dried flowers arranged beside it, adding a rustic touch. A soft, knitted blanket is partially visible in the top right corner, enhancing the warm and inviting atmosphere. Over the image is a semi-transparent white box with the text "WRAP-UP" in bold, capital letters, and "heavenlybookish" in smaller font below.

The one book that really stood out this month was Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli. I enjoyed diving back into this magical world, reconnecting with Rune and Gideon, and experiencing the fast-paced adventure. While it wasn’t as unpredictable as I had hoped, the gripping romance and strong character dynamics made it a solid and satisfying read. Read my review here.

Some books I added to my TBR this month were

I’ve recently added three captivating reads to my TBR: The Wind Weaver by Julie Johnson, Rosewater by Tade Thompson, and Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee. All three books promise to transport me into intriguing worlds filled with complex characters and gripping plots.

The Wind Weaver is a spellbinding romantasy that intertwines magic and adventure. It follows Rhya Fleetwood, a halfling in the war-torn realm of Anwyvn, where magic is feared, and beings like her are hunted. Facing execution, Rhya is unexpectedly saved by the enigmatic Commander Scythe. As she journeys through the treacherous Northlands, she discovers her identity as a Remnant—one of four destined to restore the balance of magic in her world. This tale promises a blend of high-stakes adventure and slow-burn romance.

Rosewater is a unique science fiction novel set in a futuristic Nigeria. It centers on Kaaro, a sensitive with psychic abilities, living in the city of Rosewater—a place that has grown around a mysterious alien biodome. The story delves into themes of alien invasion, human transformation, and societal change, offering a fresh perspective within the sci-fi genre.

Ninefox Gambit is an exhilarating military science fiction novel that plunges readers into a mesmerizing world of politics, war, and unconventional warfare. The protagonist, Captain Kel Cheris, is tasked with retaking a rebellious fortress that operates under a mysterious and intricate calendrical system. To achieve this goal, she forms an unlikely alliance with a brilliant but unstable general, Shuos Jedao. As they navigate the treacherous battlefield, the novel explores themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the blurred lines between right and wrong. Lee’s storytelling is masterfully executed, creating a gripping narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the thrilling climax.

I cannot wait to dive into these stories, lose myself in their pages, and experience the excitement they have in store for me.
