My resolutions and goals for 2021

Hello book loves! ‘Tis the last day of the year. I hope everyone stayed safe in 2020 and achieved some (or all) of their goals. I read a lot of books this year, and I am so proud of myself. In 2020, I read 72 books. It’s the first time I actually reached my goal and surpassed it by a lot. In this post I will go through my resolutions and goals for 2021!

šŸ’šI want to wish you all a wonderful, fantastic and amazing new year. I hope you will all thrive in 2021. Thank you guys so much for everything. Yesterday I actually reached 1000 views for the month of December, and I am beyond grateful. Thank you a thousand times.šŸ’š

Read 50 books next year

I planned on reading 35 books this year and read the double! So for next year I’d like my goal to be 50 books. I have my internship and will probably be working in 2021, so I don’t want my goal to be too high to reach.

Improve my drawing skills

I got an active pen from my boyfriend for Christmas (I got it early December) and started drawing. I absolutely love drawing. If you’ve seen my new header, you’ll see a drawing that I did of myself. In 2021, I’d like to get better at drawing. At the moment I’m still learning and mostly drawing over pictures. However, I do think with some practice I can get better!

Do more yoga

I started doing yoga in March of this year. Belgium went into a lockdown and that was the perfect moment to try yoga out. I actually really liked it but couldn’t maintain to do it every day. I followed 30 Days of Yoga With Adrienne on YouTube (link). It was a lot of pressure to do yoga every day, so I won’t be doing that anymore. I do want to do yoga 2-3 times a week.

Graduate and get a job

As some of you may know, I started my second degree in September. I hope to finish it in June, so I can start working in July. I dream of working in a publishing house, hopefully the one where I’m doing my internship.

Interview more authors

This is something I’ve been thinking about for quite some time. I would love to do a series where I interview authors and review their latest book. I might do a mix of Dutch and English interviews, but I will try to focus on marginalised authors for sure.

Create more original content for my blog

Towards the end of the year I started making more lists of my favourite books and even started a series ‘Chiara Tries It’. I’d like to continue bringing you guys more fun posts about books and maybe sometimes even just about my life.

Realise my barista dream

This one is a bit random haha, but I love coffee, especially when it’s a hazelnut of caramel coffee. So in 2021 I want to buy some syrups and make my own special coffees.

These are my resolutions/goals for 2021. What are yours? Let me know in the comments!
