I’m pretty late to the party (like 5 years but who cares), but I’ve finally read A Court of Mist and Furt. Since A Court of Silver Flames came out like a week and a half ago I figured now was the perfect time to read the other books in the series. I read A Court of Thorns and Roses a couple of months ago and really liked it. I think I gave it 4,5 stars. And ever since I read ACOTAR I wanted to read the other two books in the series, but never took the time. There was always another book that I needed to read and review, so I never really got the chance to dive back in this world. These past few weeks have been quite hard, so I decided to just treat myself and read a book I really wanted to read! This post won’t be a review, but I will be talking about some aspects of this book. I honestly just want to talk about A Court of Mist and Fury because I’m obsessed with these characters.

I gave A Court of Mist and Fury 5 stars because I really enjoyed it and I’m not in the mood to really analyse every detail. Do you know that feeling when you’ve read a book, and you’re just like yeah 5 stars love it. That doesn’t mean there weren’t any elements I didn’t like but I really enjoyed it and would (and probably will) reread this series in a couple of months.
These characters are all so fun, like I totally get the hype. I have seen some hate towards Nesta (now there’s maybe less hate because of A Court of Silver Flames lol) but I actually love her. Sarah J. Maas’ characters feel so real to me. There isn’t one character who is perfect and it’s so nice to see. However, the diversity is practically non-existent. I like to imagine characters how I want them to be seen. So for example, Amren is Asian and Lucien is Black. I just can’t picture them as being white.
The world building is so good. Sarah J. Maas is a talented writer. Since I’ve finished A Court of Mist and Fury I have been dreaming about Velaris. I love it when I can picture the places the author writes about and Sarah J. Maas is definitely very good at describing certain locations.
The character development is also wonderful in A Court of Mist and Fury. Feyre at the beginning of the book is nothing like Feyre at the end. She’s stronger without being invincible. She still has flaws but has overcome a lot of her fears.
Overall I really enjoyed reading A Court of Mist and Fury. I already liekd the first book in the series – A Court of Thorns and Roses – but this book is even better.
