I love doing this or that quizzes, and I am used to doing them in my stories on Instagram. I thought it would be fun to ask you the same questions here. Feel free to answer them in the comments or in your own blog post!
1. Staying in or going out?
I want to say going out, just because going out for Halloween sounds fantastic. Honestly, I have never gone out for Halloween before. I usually just stay in and watch a movie. Halloween in Belgium isn’t as big as in other countries, so we do it really low-key.
2. Dressing up or wearing ‘normal’ clothes?
Normal clothes, but definitely comfy clothes!
3. Watching a movie or reading/listening to a book?
On the 31st of October, I always watch a movie! But leading up to Halloween, I tend to read horror books to really get into the mood.
4. Trick or treating or giving out candy?
Definitely giving out candy. I feel like my time to go trick or treating has passed, and I love seeing the smiles on the kids faces when giving them candy and chocolates! However, since Halloween isn’t that popular in Belgium, there have been years where no kids came by. This is quite sad to me since I absolutely loved the tradition!
5. Baking Halloween cookies or carving out pumpkins?
Definitely baking cookies! I love to bake but also, I carved out a pumpkin once in my life. I think it was 2 years ago, and it honestly was not worth it? It took ages and then the pumpkin was rotten after two days. Maybe I did something wrong, who knows… but cookies for the win.
6. Decorating the house or putting up no decorations?
I love love LOVE this tradition. I love driving past houses that have Halloween decorations on them. I still live with my parents, and they aren’t that into decorating the house for Halloween (as I already said, Halloween isn’t that big in Belgium) so I don’t really do it. But I would love to start the tradition once I move out.

I feel you on the “no kids coming by” happening. I live on the outskirts part of the neighborhood and our nextdoor neighbors aren’t the friendliest, so we rarely see kids coming to our house. I love seeing them in their costumes, so I usually take a walk around the block to see them.
