Book Tag | The End of the Year Book Tag

A Couple of B’s tagged me to do this book tag and if you’ve been following me a while you know I love doing book tags! Thank you so much Becky and Kayla for tagging me!

A Couple of B’s picked the tag up from Kristin Kraves Books.

I haven’t done this tag before, since I have only been an active book blogger for a few months now. My answers are quite short but as Kristin says on her blog, it will be fun to compare my answers next year!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

I have some books I’d like to finish this month. I have some fun reads left such as These Violent Delights, Written in the Stars, The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, A Deadly Education, Christmas Island and some more.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

No not really. I do try to read some seasonal books but I’ve already left the autumnal books behind and I am focusing on some holiday themed books.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Nope! All the books I was looking forward too, came out.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

I don’t think so. My favourite read was probably The Wicked King by Holly Black and I don’t think anything will be able to top that.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?

Yes! I have sooooo many books on my 2021 tbr. I want to read The Priory of the Orange Tree, House of Earth and Blood, Throne of Glass series and so much more.

This was a short but fun tag. Thank you again to Kayla and Becky for tagging me.

Feel free to do this tag if you want to!

  1. Thank you so much for participating! I’m also starting the Throne of Glass series soon. I was gifted the box set as an early Christmas present, and I’m now debating whether I should start with Assassin’s Blade or Throne of Glass. Either way, I’m excited!

    1. Same! I have heard different opinions on it. Some say to start with Throne of Glass and others say to start with Assassin’s Blade… I might start with ToG just because it was released before, but on the other hand I thought Maas said she considered Assassin’s Blade to be book 0. Ahhhh the struggle

  2. Ooh I’m so glad you found a favourite in The Wicked King… it was definitely my favourite of the series and all those plot twists were so so shocking!! HoEaB is on my 2021 tbr too! Lovely post!

  3. I’m trying to read A Deadly Education before the year ends but I’m reading Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo and I don’t think afterwards I’ll be in the mood to read more dark books. TOG is one of my most treasured series ever so I hope you like it!

    1. I totally understand, I am trying to read A Deadly Education now, but I’m not really in the mood to read any more dark books this year haha. I read the first two books in the series but was so heartbroken after what Sarah J. Maas did to my poor baby Chaol that I couldn’t continue the series hahaha!

      1. Omg you love Chaol! Same here! If you ever decide to continue the series I can assure you that he does get a comeback arc in the standalone book “Tower of Dawn”. I was really happy to see him have a better story because I was so rooting for him.
