I decided last-minute (literally yesterday) that I wanted to participate in the Whatever-You-Want-A-Thon. I won’t be doing all 15 prompts. I’ve chosen 8 prompts that I’ll do for this readathon. The cover reminds you of a pride flag + a 5 star read

For this prompt I will read One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. It reminds me of the bisexual flag. This book is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I think this will be a 5 star read, so I am combining those two prompts.

Synopsis

For cynical twenty-three-year-old August, moving to New York City is supposed to prove her right: that things like magic and cinematic love stories don’t exist, and the only smart way to go through life is alone. She can’t imagine how waiting tables at a 24-hour pancake diner and moving in with too many weird roommates could possibly change that. And there’s certainly no chance of her subway commute being anything more than a daily trudge through boredom and electrical failures.

But then, there’s this gorgeous girl on the train.

Jane. Dazzling, charming, mysterious, impossible Jane. Jane with her rough edges and swoopy hair and soft smile, showing up in a leather jacket to save August’s day when she needed it most. August’s subway crush becomes the best part of her day, but pretty soon, she discovers there’s one big problem: Jane doesn’t just look like an old school punk rocker. She’s literally displaced in time from the 1970s, and August is going to have to use everything she tried to leave in her own past to help her. Maybe it’s time to start believing in some things, after all.

Reread a comfort read

I absolutely loved Skyward by Brandon Sanderson and recently got the Dutch translation, so I will be reading it for this prompt.

Synopsis

Spensa’s world has been under attack for decades.

Now pilots are the heroes of what’s left of the human race, and becoming one has always been Spensa’s dream. Since she was a little girl, she has imagined soaring skyward and proving her bravery. An Author’s debut

I’ll be reading We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal for this prompt. I’ve been meaning to read this book for a while so now I have a reason to (other than the book being really good from what I’ve heard).

Out of your comfort zone

For this prompt I am going with a book my boyfriend bought me. It’s called The Psychology of Time Travel and is written by Kate Mascarenhas.

Synopsis

In 1967, four female scientists worked together to build the world’s first time machine. But just as they are about to debut their creation, one of them suffers a breakdown, putting the whole project—and future of time travel—in jeopardy. To protect their invention, one member is exiled from the team—erasing her contributions from history.

I started listening to Wings of Ebony by J. Elle and want to finish the audiobook this month!

Synopsis

Synopsis

For this prompt I will read Circe by Madeline Miller.
